Just As me

I
Am
Afraid,
Afraid of bullets
Riding on dust ridden air
Fired,
By a trembling boy
Afraid, just
As
Me

These are two art projects I did in my Drawing class this year. These pieces focus on the traumatizing effect war can have on a person. I want to show that whether on the same side or different sides both soldiers were effected by a war. I had conveyed this visually, and I had also wanted to convey it through a poem. Thus, the poem above.

I thought today, being the 7th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Haber, would be a good time to post this poem and drawings as my acknowledgment of those lost on that day.
