Mirror

Soul facing soul, we gaze at one another

Your lips curve into a welcoming smile and my wary one follows

As if to wave, my shaking hand rises

Your hand copies, instilling in me trust

Slowly yet surely we begin to move as one

Your gestures easily reciprocate mine

And I question if this is just a game

A game that hints at more
