As Knees Move in Too Close to Our Hearts

As knees move in too close to our hearts

The pressure attempts to smother the line between rights and wrongs

Breaths of air are knocked from our lungs

The exhales exclaim the injustice placed upon us

What have we done?

Is wheezed from our confused stricken lips

You are what I am not

Is the response spat back into our faces

As knees move in too close to our hearts
